Russian sniper-hero exposed in million-dollar fraud: how injuries were faked.
According to The Sun: A Russian military fraudster, who once claimed rewards for lying, turned out to be a scammer in a major military scandal involving corruption.
He was nicknamed 'The Executioner', and now he is accused of extorting rewards for fabricated injuries.
Former commander Konstantin Frolov, known by the nickname 'The Executioner', created injury scenarios with his comrades to obtain honors and compensation.
The former colonel claimed that his injuries were sustained during fighting in Ukraine, but it turned out that they were self-inflicted.
“War hero” Konstantin Frolov had previously given interviews to state television when he was regarded as a well-known sniper.
All these fabricated injuries and rewards turned out to be part of a large-scale corruption scheme within the military, where 30 servicemen tried to obtain money for undeserved awards.
Frolov also has to answer for falsifying the activities of the sniper group and for fabricating the rescue of a girl during shelling.
The fake military hero Konstantin Frolov artificially incurred injuries for innocence and money, and now he faces charges of fraud, bribery, and illegal possession of weapons and explosives.
Before he was arrested, Russian state television promoted him as a renowned sniper, but now he has been stripped of all honors and is in custody.
The television report claimed that he was one of the most effective snipers in the combat zone.
