The Accounting Chamber Unveiled a Scheme with Pensioner Registration.
The Accounting Chamber stated an increase in the load on the Pension Fund. According to the audit data, there were already 945 pensioners per every thousand ESF payers.
The head of the Accounting Chamber, Olga Pishchanska, reported that the audit results of the Pension Fund showed the presence of legislative gaps that provide opportunities to receive pensions in increased amounts.
"There are legislative gaps that create conditions for receiving pensions in increased amounts, particularly for pensioners who served in the military forces and for individuals living in areas contaminated by radiation," she stated.
The increase in pensions for these categories led to an additional burden on the Pension Fund budget amounting to 66.5 billion UAH per year, Pishchanska noted.
"Moreover, the list of radiation-contaminated zones is long outdated, and cases of registering up to 30 pensioners at a single address in these areas are not uncommon," the head of the Accounting Chamber mentioned.
She also noted that the debts of enterprises, institutions, and organizations to the Pension Fund grew to 50.3 billion UAH during the martial law. This occurred alongside a decrease in the number of employees, and the projected growth targets for the wage fund were not met.
