June 28 Strike on Zaporizhzhia Leaves Two Dead, 16 Wounded—Including Children.
Tragedy Strikes Zaporizhzhia
According to UATV: On June 28, a Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia killed two people and wounded 16 others, among them two children. Russian forces launched an airstrike on a residential area, destroying three private homes. The assault occurred around 10:00 a.m., when Russian aircraft dropped two guided bombs.
Among the injured are a five-year-old boy in critical condition and a 16-year-old girl who was also rescued from the rubble. The boy was rushed to the hospital. In total, according to reports, roughly 20 single-story and multi-apartment buildings sustained damage.
“We know of one fatality. One child is in serious condition. The number of damaged buildings is still being assessed. There will likely be around 20 damaged houses, and three homes completely destroyed.”

Over the past day, Russian occupiers launched more than 850 strikes across 41 settlements in the region. This attack is part of the ongoing armed conflict in Ukraine, which continues to pose a threat to civilians.
