On Honey Savior, kvass with honey, lemon, and raisins is perfect. This drink refreshes nicely, tones, and has a light natural gas that creates bubbles in the drink. The recipe is very simple, requires no complex equipment, and allows you to get natural kvass in just a few hours. It's the perfect option for a festive table or an alternative to store-bought lemonades.
The recipe was published on the YouTube channel Pan Fartukh - simple recipes.

You will need:

  • water - 4 l;
  • yeast - 5 g;
  • honey - 150 g;
  • lemon - one third;
  • raisins - 5-7 pieces for each bottle.

Preparation method

Boil the water and cool it to a temperature of about 30 °C. Add the honey and yeast, mix well until the honey is completely dissolved. Squeeze the juice from one third of the lemon and, if desired, add the lemon itself to the liquid.

Then cover the container with cheesecloth and leave it to ferment in a warm place for 6-8 hours. After that, pour the kvass into clean bottles. Pre-scald the raisins with boiling water or steam them for 2-3 minutes, then add a few pieces to each bottle.

Tightly close the bottles with caps, leave at room temperature for another hour to activate secondary fermentation. Then move the kvass to the fridge and let it cool. Serve cold - it will have bubbles, refreshing and aromatic.

Let us remind you, earlier we talked about the prohibitions and traditions associated with the Assumption Fast, what is allowed to eat, and what is strictly forbidden. We also wrote about the traditional Ukrainian dish for Makoviy - the recipe for a very tasty makovik.
