More details about Russia's attack on gas infrastructure

Serhiy Koretsky emphasized that this attack is a deliberate terrorist act. Thus, the enemy seeks to disrupt preparations for the heating season and create problems with gas supply for Ukrainians in the cold season.

'Such attacks occur regularly. These facilities do not have any military significance,' said Koretsky.

At the same time, there are currently no reports from the company about plans to disconnect residential or industrial consumers from gas.

What the strikes by Russia on Ukrainian gas facilities lead to

The Russian army often attacks gas extraction facilities in Ukraine during air strikes. Although this infrastructure has no military value, the enemy continues to target it in various regions to provoke an energy crisis in our country.

As previously mentioned in a broadcast of the program Morning.LIVE by the director of energy programs of the Razumkov Center, Volodymyr Omelchenko, due to strikes by Russia on gas facilities, Ukraine has to increase gas imports and spend money to cover fuel shortages.

During the night attack, the Russian army targeted the gas extraction facilities of the Naftogaz Group using drones. This caused outrage from the chairman of the board of NAK 'Naftogaz of Ukraine' Serhiy Koretsky, who emphasized that such acts are terrorist and aim to harm the Ukrainian population, especially during the cold. Attacks on gas facilities in Ukraine lead to a necessity to increase gas imports and spend additional funds to ensure the energy security of the country.
