Night attack of the RF on Ukraine on August 1

The Russian army attacked Ukraine with drones on the night of August 1. Various units and forces of the Ukrainian defense repelled the enemy's attack, including aviation, air defense missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups.

On August 1, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.

The occupiers from the RF attacked Ukrainian cities using 72 Shahed-type strike drones and imitation drones.

'According to preliminary data, by morning 44 enemy drones were destroyed/repelled in the north, south, east, and center of the country', — it is stated in the message.

The Air Forces also recorded drone hits in nine locations. The enemy also attacked frontline territories, including Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk regions, and Kyiv region.

Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed that Ukrainian defenders are holding back the Russian offensive on 12 fronts. In addition, an expert explained whether Russia could fully switch to using drones for strikes against Ukraine.

As a result of the night attack of the Russians on Ukraine with drones on August 1, Ukrainian forces managed to repel part of the attacks and inflict significant damage on enemy drones, remaining afloat in this tense situation in the east of the country.
