The Russian offensive in the Donetsk region is under threat
According to The Washington Post, the planned Russian offensive in the Donetsk region may be delayed due to the halt of the peace settlement process mediated by the U.S.
American analysts believe that Russian President Putin has not lost hope for victory in the conflict, despite the sanctions and losses that Russia is facing. This summer could be crucial for Russia's further actions.
It is reported that the Russian Federation plans to concentrate its forces on the offensive in Donetsk and also carry out separate attacks along the borders with the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
Scientist Mykola Beleskov emphasized: 'Russia intends to encircle Ukrainian troops along the front line, paying special attention to Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka.'
According to Ukrainian military intelligence, Ukrainian defenders are prepared for possible assaults and are in a state of combat readiness in any direction.
Analysis
The contradictions in Donbas and the possible Russian offensive require strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities and intensifying diplomatic efforts to prevent escalation of the conflict.
