Russia attacked Ukraine with 49 drones and missiles: how many targets were shot down by air defense forces.
On the night of August 13, the Russian military launched an attack on Ukraine, using over 40 strike drones and ballistic missiles. The incident caused injuries in the eastern and northern regions of Ukraine, as well as in Poltava. The Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully conducted a countermeasure against the aggressor.

Details of the Russian attack
As a result of the attack on the night of August 12-13, Russian troops fired 49 strike drones Shahed and used decoy drones from several regions. Additionally, 2 ballistic missiles Iskander-M/KN-23 were launched.
The hardest-hit areas were Donetsk, Sumy, and Chernihiv, while Poltava was subjected to missile strikes,” the Air Forces reported.
The Ukrainian military successfully repelled the attack using aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups. A total of 34 targets were destroyed or disabled, including 2 ballistic missiles and 32 drones. The highest intensity of shelling was observed in the northern and eastern parts of Ukraine.
Furthermore, 17 drones were reported to have hit 15 populated areas, and all details are being verified.
Preliminary reports indicate that Ukrainian drones launched strikes on a refinery in the Russian Republic of Komi and in the Saratov region of the Russian Federation.
According to the Air Forces, the situation is under control but remains tense. Ukraine continues to monitor the movements of enemy troops and is prepared for potential further provocations.
