According to Novyny.live: A significant legal conflict has emerged in Ukraine concerning state payments made to the families of military personnel who were incorrectly declared dead or missing in action. Lyudmyla Denisova highlighted this issue during an interview on Den.LIVE. She explained that while these families received compensation based on court rulings, a new legal provision has been introduced regarding the 'voluntary' return of these funds.

The situation is further complicated as some state institutions are now considering the possibility of forcibly recovering the payments. For instance, the family of soldier Nazar Daletskyi has been ordered to repay 15 million hryvnias to the state. Denisova noted that the family had approached the Ministry of Veterans Affairs regarding the repayment. According to a deputy minister, the family can return the money voluntarily, but if they do not, it will be forcibly collected.

'It's supposed to be voluntary,' Denisova added, highlighting the confusion within the legal system.
