Father Killed, Mother and Two Daughters Wounded in Russian Strike on Kherson.
Deadly Attack on Kherson Neighborhood
According to UATV: A 36-year-old woman and her two young daughters, aged three and six, were injured on May 27, 2023, when Russian forces struck the Shumenskyi district of Kherson. The girls' father was killed in the shelling. All three survivors suffered mine-blast injuries and shrapnel wounds, according to medical staff.
Across the Kherson region, at least seven people were reported wounded or killed in the same wave of attacks. This incident highlights the ongoing danger faced by civilians in areas near the front lines of the war in Ukraine.
Civilian Toll of the War
The tragedy underscores how families and children continue to bear the brunt of the conflict. Kherson, one of the most heavily shelled regions, remains a focal point of violence that endangers non-combatants and fuels a growing humanitarian crisis.
