Russian Military Strikes Across Ukrainian Regions

According to UATV: Russian forces launched attacks on the Kherson, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Chernihiv regions, resulting in significant damage to civilian infrastructure and multiple civilian casualties. These assaults are part of a broader pattern of strikes on urban areas far from the front lines. In Kherson Oblast, five civilians were wounded, with seven apartment buildings and 11 private houses damaged. Governor Oleksandr Prokudin stated that

'Russian military strikes targeted critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential areas of settlements in the region.'

Impact and Damage in Other Regions

In Donetsk Oblast, private homes, a car, and three apartment buildings were damaged. Two people were wounded in the Kramatorsk district. According to the regional military administration, 103 people, including 21 children, were evacuated from frontline areas.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast endured intense shelling, with 448 strikes reported across 34 settlements over a 24-hour period. A six-year-old child was wounded in an attack on the Zaporizhzhia district. Mayor Ivan Fedorov reported this incident, noting that

'a 6-year-old child was wounded as a result of an enemy attack on the Zaporizhzhia district.'

In Chernihiv Oblast, Russian forces carried out 43 strikes. In the city of Nizhyn, a 49-year-old man was wounded by a ballistic missile attack. Governor Viacheslav Chaus confirmed this, stating that 'in Nizhyn, a 49-year-old man was wounded as a result of a ballistic missile strike.' These events underscore the ongoing military aggression and the increasing threat to civilians across Ukraine.

The recent wave of attacks highlights a continued escalation of the conflict, particularly in regions that have repeatedly come under fire. The destruction of vital infrastructure and the wounding of non-combatants raise serious concerns for the safety of residents. Such incidents exacerbate the humanitarian crisis, increasing the urgent need for evacuations and medical aid for those affected by the war.
