Russian Strikes on Dnipropetrovsk Region Injure Three and Damage Homes.
Shelling in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
According to UATV: On January 24, Russian military forces struck settlements in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, wounding three civilians. The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration reported that the victims include two men, aged 51 and 61, who will receive outpatient treatment, and a 73-year-old woman who was hospitalized in moderate condition. This region, home to major industrial cities, has been a frequent target since the full-scale invasion began.
The attacks occurred in the Nikopol district and the Yurivka community of the Pavlohrad district. The shelling caused significant destruction, damaging seven private homes—one of which caught fire—along with administrative buildings, outbuildings, and vehicles. Power lines were also damaged, complicating the situation for residents in the area.
Ongoing Military Actions
This assault is part of the ongoing conflict that continues to take a heavy toll on civilians. Simultaneously, in other regions such as Sloviansk in Donetsk Oblast, attacks including those by FPV drones were recorded, wounding two teenagers. The situation remains tense, with local authorities continuing to provide necessary aid to the victims.
The military actions in Ukraine, particularly in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, underscore the persistent threat to civilian life. Attacks on residential buildings and critical infrastructure are increasing humanitarian needs and complicating access to essential services. Given the severity of the situation, it is crucial for local authorities to have the resources to assist victims and repair the damaged infrastructure.
