Strikes on Kharkiv Region: Drones and Aerial Bombs Damage Homes and Gas Stations.
June 28 Attacks by Russian Forces
According to Novyny.live: On June 28, Russian forces launched strikes on the Izium community and the city of Kharkiv, damaging buildings and vehicles while causing injuries. Around 2:45 AM, a guided aerial bomb hit near the village of Bryhadyrivka in the Izium district of Kharkiv Oblast. The explosion destroyed roughly half a hectare of corn crops and snapped high-voltage power line cables. Several private houses suffered broken windows and damaged roofs.
Later that same day, a Russian attack drone struck the facade of a multi-story apartment building in Kharkiv's Kyivskyi district. The impact shattered windows in the building, and a 59-year-old woman experienced an acute stress reaction as a result.
Attacks on Fuel Stations
Additionally, on June 28, Russian forces targeted two gas stations in the Natalynka community of Berestyn district using Geran-2 attack drones. One station was hit, and the resulting fire damaged five vehicles. During the attack on the other gas station, a 68-year-old truck driver sustained injuries.
This series of strikes on June 28 inflicted significant damage on both infrastructure and civilians in the region.
These events highlight the ongoing armed conflict in Ukraine, which, despite international efforts to resolve it, continues to cause new civilian casualties and infrastructure destruction.
The targeting of residential areas and civilian infrastructure underscores the severity of the humanitarian situation in the region and raises serious concerns about the safety of residents who remain in these areas.
