Drone Strike on Vilmiansk Wounds Four, Including a Toddler.
Vilmiansk Targeted in Overnight Assault
According to TSN.ua: Russian forces launched a drone attack on the town of Vilmiansk in the Zaporizhzhia region overnight on February 10, injuring four civilians. The victims include two women, a man, and a boy who is not yet two years old. This incident is part of a wider pattern of attacks on civilian areas in southern Ukraine.
'Two women, a man, and a boy under the age of two sustained injuries,' stated Vilmiansk Mayor Ivan Fedorov.
Intensified Attacks Across Zaporizhzhia Region
Throughout the day, Russian occupying forces struck 35 settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast a total of 657 times. The assault involved a combination of airstrikes, artillery, drone attacks, and multiple-launch rocket systems. Russia has also continued its use of attack drones in other regions, with strikes recorded in Sumy Oblast and near Kharkiv, where a 'Molniya' drone hit the Shevchenkivskyi district overnight. The ongoing conflict has placed immense strain on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure and energy grid.
This attack underscores the continued escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, particularly in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, where the situation remains tense. There is growing concern for civilian safety, as drone strikes are increasingly causing harm not only to military targets but also to non-combatants. With the rising number of attacks, it is critical to monitor further developments and the measures taken to ensure the security of the population in these regions.
