Ukraine Extends Strike Range to 2,000 km: Which Russian Targets Have Been Hit.
Ukraine’s Growing Strike Capability
According to UATV: Ukraine has significantly expanded the range of its strikes deep into Russian territory, inflicting severe damage on Moscow’s military and fuel infrastructure. Since 2022, the reach of Ukrainian strike systems has jumped from 630 km to 1,750 km. Between 2022 and 2024, Ukraine carried out over 300 attacks on targets inside Russia, and in 2025 alone that number surged to roughly 600.
These operations have dealt a heavy blow to Russia’s oil industry, knocking out about 20% of its processing capacity. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced plans to ramp up missile and drone launches to 600 per day.
Military Targets and International Support
Analysts like Oleksandr Musiyenko note that Ukraine intends to use both ballistic and cruise missiles to hit military sites inside Russia at a minimum depth of 2,000 km.
“We have quite favorable trends—we’re working with partners to scale up production both in Ukraine and within EU countries,” said Oleksandr Musiyenko.
This increase in strike range and frequency signals an intensification of Ukraine’s military response to Russian aggression. It could shift the balance of power and reshape regional security dynamics.
The growing reach and pace of Ukrainian attacks may mark a new phase in the conflict, where Kyiv actively seeks to degrade the enemy’s war-fighting potential. These actions carry both strategic and tactical weight, potentially forcing Russia to revise its military plans and strategies. At the same time, they underscore the critical role of international support for Ukraine’s fight for sovereignty and territorial integrity.
