Further Details on the Attack
The offensive originated from multiple launch points, including Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk region, and Hvardiiske. Russian forces employed a variety of drone models in this operation:
- Shahed
- Gerbera
- Italmas
- Banderol
- Parody
Separately, on June 12, attacks on the Dnipropetrovsk region resulted in one fatality and three injuries. Throughout the day, over 50 shelling incidents were recorded across two districts of the Dnipropetrovsk area. These events highlight the ongoing intensity of military operations in the region and the deteriorating security situation.
This latest attack marks another chapter in the escalating conflict between Russia and Ukraine, a war that has persisted for years.
The use of drones in strike operations reflects how Russian forces are adapting their tactics to modern warfare. At the same time, the high interception rate by Ukrainian forces demonstrates their growing capability to counter aerial threats. The worsening conditions in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast underscore that civilians continue to bear the brunt of the hostilities. All of this reinforces the urgent need for continued international support to help Ukraine maintain security and stability in the region.
