155 Drones Target Zaporizhzhia: Two Dead, 18 Wounded, Including Children.
Drone Strike Hits Zaporizhzhia
According to UATV: On June 8, Russia launched a drone attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia, killing two people and injuring 18 others. Among the wounded are four children aged 5, 10, 12, and 13, as well as a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl. The strike damaged residential buildings, vehicles, market stalls, a public transport stop, and a private home.
Drones Used in the Attack
According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, the assault involved 155 drones of various types, including:
- Shahed
- Gerbera
- Italmas
- Banderol
- 'Parody' decoy drones
The attack caused significant destruction and left many victims in serious condition. Authorities are still assessing the full extent of the tragedy and providing assistance to those affected.
This incident is part of the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, now in its third year, which has resulted in heavy civilian casualties. The recent events in Zaporizhzhia highlight the continued escalation of violence and the threat to residents of Ukrainian cities.
