The idea of creating a 'Ballon d'Or' in Russia

According to inkorr.com: Propagandist Dmitry Guberniev, advisor to the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Mikhail Degtyarev, proposed to establish a 'Ballon d'Or' of its own in Russia, reports 'Glavkom'.

“Should we create our own 'Ballon d'Or'? Yes! Let's call it 'Interball'. We will invite people who would be candidates for this award. And then we will refuse, because we are the hosts of the 'Interball',” said Guberniev.

It should be reminded that the 'Ballon d'Or' was established by the French publication France Football in 1956 and is awarded to the best football player of the year.

Freestyler's appeal to FIS

Russian freestyler Anastasia Tatalina appealed to the International Ski Federation and Snowboarding (FIS) requesting permission to participate in the 2026 Olympic Games.

Tatalina is a member of the military club CSKA, which is associated with Russia's military aggression against Ukraine.

“I represent Russia, and I was proud when the President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich (Putin) sent me a telegram after winning the World Championship,” she said in April 2022.

It is also worth noting that Tatalina liked a post with the Russian military slogan 'we do not leave our own behind'.

In Russia, there is an active discussion about the idea of creating an analogue of the 'Ballon d'Or', named 'Interball', while freestyler Anastasia Tatalina is trying to gain the opportunity to perform at the 2026 Olympic Games. These events reflect attempts to enter the international sports context despite existing political and social restrictions.
