Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine with missiles and drones: Zelensky's response.
Russian attacks led to the evacuation of more than 30 Ukrainian cities
More than 30 populated areas of Ukraine were under a massive attack by Russian forces that occurred overnight on Sunday, reported the country's president Volodymyr Zelensky. According to him, the hostile army fired nearly 300 strike drones and 70 missiles of various types, directing them at cities including Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Chernihiv, and others.
These were deliberate strikes on ordinary cities. Residential buildings have been damaged or destroyed. In the capital, in particular, dormitories of the historical faculty of the university were affected. There were also hits on enterprises.
Among the casualties of the attacks are dead, including children. Zelensky expressed condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the deceased.
Rescue services are working continuously in more than 30 Ukrainian cities and villages, helping people after the enemy's attacks, noted the head of state.
Each terrorist act by Russia is a new reason to impose sanctions against it. Russia continues this war and murders every day.
Zelensky called on the international community to act decisively, emphasizing that only under strong pressure on the Russian leadership can aggression be stopped.
The world can rest on weekends, but the war continues, regardless of the day of the week. This cannot be ignored. The silence of America and other countries only strengthens Putin.
The president urged to make Putin think about peace rather than war. He also emphasized the consequences of missile and drone attacks that took place overnight on May 24.
