Russia is mass-producing cheap Gerbera drones in the Pokrovsk direction: how this changes the situation.
Situation in the Pokrovsk direction
According to inkorr.com: In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops continue to storm the city in small groups, trying to establish a foothold in southern Pokrovsk.
This was reported by the commander of the drone checking battery 'Avengers Angels' of the 68th Jaeger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbusha with the call sign 'Maestro' on the Army TV channel.
According to the military, the enemy has intensified, and this is very noticeable. Just a few weeks ago, the situation was 'a little calmer'. Various Russian drones have become especially active.
Currently, the biggest problem has become the 'Gerbera' drones. If earlier they were used only for strikes on the front, now these drones are equipped with cameras and are actively used for reconnaissance.
'If the cost of a regular reconnaissance wing, of some type like 'Orlan', ZALA, 'Superkam' ranges from 50 to 100 thousand dollars, then the funds allocated for one 'Gerbera' are about 10 thousand dollars. They can launch five of these 'Gerbera', and it will be like launching one 'Superkam' or ZALA.'
This economic decision allows the enemy to mass-produce cheap drones for reconnaissance and attacks in the Pokrovsk direction.
Events related to the aggressive actions of Russian troops indicate a deterioration of the situation in the region. The active use of 'Gerbera' drones gives the enemy an advantage in reconnaissance and strikes, causing serious concern among Ukrainian military circles.
In recent months, the situation in the Pokrovsk direction continues to remain tense. The introduction of new technologies, such as cheap drones, seriously complicates the tasks of Ukrainian forces. These changes in the enemy's tactics require appropriate measures from the Ukrainian military to counter the threats on the front.Read also
