According to the Alliance's charter, defending the Baltic countries from Russian invasion may take about 10 days. This follows from a simulation developed by the New Generation Warfare Center. Former high-ranking military officials participated in the simulation, modeling a possible Russian attack on NATO's eastern flank in 2027. According to the simulation data, Russia can attack Latvia and Lithuania from different directions, leading to serious losses. However, the possible scenario of occupying Lithuania can be avoided by increasing NATO member countries' defense budgets and improving emergency response.
