Russia has changed its drone warfare tactics: how it affects the front.
Russian troops have changed their tactics for using drones, allowing them to gain advantages on the battlefield. This change includes enhancements to the drones, integration with other strike means, and use in frontline and rear areas.
According to a report by ISW analysts, Russian troops are successfully using drones for maneuvering in the wooded areas of Liman and Siversk directions. They have also adapted drones for striking rear infrastructure in Ukraine, delivering precise missile strikes on training grounds and troop concentration sites.
Russian drones are evolving
The use of Russian drones on the logistics routes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine indicates an attempt to block rear routes. The drones have received artificial intelligence, autonomous navigation, and the ability to use thermobaric charges. They are also enhanced to target armored vehicles and operate at distances of over 100 km from the front line.
Together with other tactics, Russian troops are using drones to attack logistical facilities in Ukraine. Their innovative techniques allow them to maintain fire control at a distance exceeding the standard range of artillery.
By using enhanced drones, Russian troops are making attacks not only on the enemy's combat positions but also on logistics infrastructure, creating new challenges for the Ukrainian armed forces. Russian drones have become a truly effective tool in warfare, allowing for their strategic application in various tasks on the battlefield.Read also
