According to UATV: Russian military forces continue their bombardment of Kharkiv. A recent attack left one person dead and nine others wounded, among them two children. On June 20, 2023, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported two fatalities and nine injuries from missile strikes.

In the early hours of June 20, Russia launched three guided aerial bombs at the city. One bomb was intercepted, but the other two struck a two-story residential building in the Kholodnohirskyi district. The attack claimed one life and injured nine people, including a 6-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl. The blast wave also damaged eight additional residential structures.

Notably, on June 19, shelling occurred in the same district without causing casualties. Mayor Ihor Terekhov stated:

“Around 4 a.m. both yesterday and today, there were impacts.” - Ihor Terekhov

He also added that “search and rescue operations are ongoing. They are looking for a woman trapped under debris on the first floor.” This situation highlights the persistent danger facing Kharkiv residents amid the ongoing conflict.

The attacks on Kharkiv persist despite efforts toward a peaceful resolution, underscoring that the city remains an active combat zone. Protecting civilians and infrastructure remains critically important, as such strikes inflict severe suffering on innocent people. These incidents continue to worsen the humanitarian situation in the region, emphasizing the urgent need for international aid and a resolution to the conflict.
