Russia is forming gamer troops: why this is a dangerous illusion for mobilized soldiers.
According to inkorr.com: The Center for Counteracting Disinformation reported intentions of Russia to create 'troops of gamers'. As claimed by Russian propagandists, lovers of video games will be able to master drone management faster, spending only 10 hours on it, compared to 40 hours required for regular recruits.
'Such language aims at secretly mobilizing youth and maintaining real training. In simplified courses for drone operators and 'cyber troops', gaming skills are considered as full-fledged combat experience,' the Center explained.
It is noted that Russia replaces prolonged military training with the illusion of 'gaming skills' that do not correspond to the realities of war. 'This approach leads to high losses among the mobilized and increases the militarization of society,' experts emphasized.
The gaming industry as a tool of state ideology in Russia
Overall, the gaming industry in Russia is turning into a tool of state ideology and recruitment of youth. 'The scenario looks like this: lectures on 'patriotism', training exercises, and contract offers,' the Center clarified.
Discussion of the creation of 'troops of gamers' in Russia provokes outrage and concern among experts, who consider this approach ineffective and dangerous, as it threatens the quality of training and the safety of the country.
This initiative raises questions about the realism of military training at a time when war requires real experience. Experts point out that gaming skills cannot replace traditional military training, which may lead to serious consequences on the battlefield.
