112 drones overnight: how Ukraine's air defense destroyed 89 attacking UAVs.
On the night of August 7, the Ukrainian defense forces repelled a large-scale attack from Russia, which launched 112 strike drones of the Shahed type and various imitation drones. The attack was carried out from the territory of Russia and the temporarily occupied Crimea.
This was reported by the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

To counter the aerial attack, aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile fire groups, radio-electronic warfare units, and drone countermeasures systems were involved.
As of 9:00 AM, it was possible to destroy or suppress 89 enemy drones in the northern, eastern, and central regions of Ukraine.
There were also 23 hits by drones on 11 objects in various regions, as well as three cases of debris from shot down devices falling.
It is worth noting that yesterday, on August 6, Russia also attacked Ukraine with drones.
It has also become known that the Netherlands will support Ukraine in countering aggression.
