Russia launched an IPSO using artificial intelligence: fake widows about payments for the deceased.
According to ТСН: Russia has started a new information campaign using artificial intelligence, spreading fake videos with artificially created 'women' who cynically talk about hunting for payments for deceased Ukrainian soldiers.
Active videos appear on social networks, where women created with the help of artificial intelligence supposedly claim that they seek relationships solely with military personnel, as this allows them to receive significant government payments in case their husbands die. These 'characters' concoct stories about remarriages during wartime, the deaths of husbands, and regular compensation payments.
The Real Problem
In fact, the phenomenon of so-called 'black widows' is characteristic of Russia and has long been a topic of discussion in the media. The authorities of the country are trying to solve this problem at the legislative level. This internal Russian issue is being artificially linked by propagandists to Ukrainian realities.
'The goal of this information operation is to polarize society, provoke a rift between the military and civilians, and demotivate citizens from joining the military service.'
Another Information Operation
Furthermore, Russia has launched another information campaign, accusing the Armed Forces of Ukraine of allegedly preparing 'chemical provocations' in Izium from January 6 to 8. This is due to the use of 'information alibi' tactics for potential attacks. The Center for Countering Disinformation reports that the enemy deliberately connects fakes with Orthodox Christmas, trying to amplify the emotional burden on the civilian population.
Thus, Russia continues to use disinformation as a tool to influence society, creating false narratives aimed at highlighting contentious issues and sowing confusion in the minds of citizens. This once again shows how important it is to be careful about information messages and to verify sources, as in times of war, the truth becomes a crucial weapon.
