Russian Forces Intensify Southern Front Bombardment: Over 100 Guided Bombs in 24 Hours.
Russian Military Ramps Up Aerial Assaults
According to TSN.ua: Russian forces have escalated their air campaign in southern Ukraine, targeting Ukrainian Defense Force positions with guided bombs and missiles. According to military expert Vladyslav Voloshyn, a total of 25 separate air strikes were recorded over the past day. These attacks involved the use of more than 100 precision-guided aerial bombs and over 60 unguided rockets.
Regional Combat Situation
The most intense fighting is currently concentrated near Huliaipole in the Zaporizhzhia region, where 15 separate engagements have been reported in the following areas:
- Huliaipole
- Dobropillia
- Dorozhnianka
- Zaliznychne
- Tsvitkove
On the Orikhiv front, one attack was recorded in the Stepove area. Meanwhile, on the Aleksandrivka axis, Russian troops launched five assaults near Zlahoda and in the direction of Ivanivka.
'The enemy attempted assault operations, but all of them proved unsuccessful,' stated Vladyslav Voloshyn, emphasizing that despite the heavy bombardment, Ukraine's defense forces continue to hold their positions and fulfill their operational tasks.
This surge in Russian aerial strikes underscores the ongoing critical phase of the conflict in southern Ukraine. The use of such a high volume of guided munitions in a single day represents a significant tactical shift. Ukrainian forces continue to demonstrate resilience under sustained pressure, though the situation in the region remains volatile and requires close observation, as further escalation could impact the broader trajectory of the war.
