June 15 Mass Strikes on Ukraine: Over 60 Missiles Target Kyiv, Casualties Reported.

According to UATV: On June 15, 2023, Ukraine faced large-scale assaults by Russian forces, resulting in significant casualties and destruction. In Kyiv, more than 60 missiles were launched, while nationwide, a total of 70 missiles and 611 drones were recorded. As of now, the capital reports 28 wounded and 4 dead. Following a strike on the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, a fire broke out in the Dormition Cathedral.
In Kharkiv, a secondary attack killed 5 people and injured 9. Russian strikes also hit the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Mykolaiv regions. In Dnipro, a railway station, a college, and several industrial facilities were targeted.
Statement from Ukraine’s President
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the situation, stating that
“the aftermath of the strikes is currently being addressed”and noting that
“the State Emergency Service has already extinguished the fire on the cathedral’s roof.”Zelenskyy emphasized: “This is how Russia shows the world its intention to continue the war,” and expressed gratitude to everyone helping to protect lives.
These events underscore Russia’s ongoing armed aggression against Ukraine, with severe consequences for civilian safety and life. The relentless mass attacks highlight the persistent threat of the conflict and the urgent need for international support for Ukraine in its fight for independence and territorial integrity.
