In the front line, there were 179 combat clashes in the last 24 hours. The most tense directions in the Donetsk region remain Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka. Russian occupiers are also increasing pressure in the northern part of the region - in the Kramatorsk, Lyman, and Severetsk directions. This was reported today, August 24, by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

According to FREEДOM: In the Severoslobozhansky and Kursky directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled four attacks from the invading forces.

At the same time, in the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attempted to break through the defensive fortifications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Volchansk, Ambarne, Kamyanka, and near Zeleny 10 times.

Six times, the occupiers attacked in the Kupyansk direction in the areas of Zahryzovo and Kupyansk.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted 20 attacks, trying to wedge into the Ukrainian defense in the areas of the settlements of Hrekivka, Redkodub, Karpivka, Kolodezi, Myrne, Shandriholove, Dronivka, and Serebryanka.

In addition, in the Seversky direction, Russian troops attempted to advance 12 times in the areas of Hryhorivka, Pereizne, Fedorivka, and near Severodnetsk.

In the Kramatorsk direction, there were 16 combat clashes in the area of Chasiv Yar and near Markove, Stupochki, Predtechino, and Bilya Hora.

The enemy carried out ten attacks in the Toretsky direction in the area of Shcherbynivka and near Pleshcheyevka, Katerynivka, Poltavka, and Popov Yar.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 52 assault actions of the aggressor near the settlements of Mayak, Nikanorivka, Novy Shakhov, Krasny Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Myrolyubivka, Sukhy Yar, Lisovka, Zverovo, Kotlyno, Udayne, Orekhove, Novoukrainka, and in the direction of the settlements of Vladimirovka, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Balagan, Molodetske, and Filiya.

Units of the AFU repelled 33 attacks from the invaders in the Novopavlivsk direction in the areas of the settlements of Vilne Pole, Maleivka, Voskresenka, Temirivka, Olhivka, and near Filiya, Ivanivka, and Zaporizhzhya.

The enemy attempted to attack the positions of the Ukrainian military three times in the Orekhivsk and Dniprovsk directions.

The previous day passed without combat clashes in the Volyn, Hulyaipilsk, and Polissya directions.
