Kyiv Region Targeted in January 24, 2026 Attack
According to Novyny.live: On January 24, 2026, Russian forces launched strikes against the Kyiv region, resulting in civilian casualties and property damage. Mykola Kalashnik, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, confirmed that four people were injured in the attacks.
Attack Details and Casualties
In the Brovary district, the following individuals were injured:
- A woman born in 1994 sustained leg lacerations;
- A man born in 1988 and a woman born in 1983 received minor cuts;
- A woman born in 1996 suffered a closed head injury.
The assault also damaged four private homes and two cars in the Brovary district, as well as a house in the Boryspil district.
In a separate nighttime barrage on January 24, Russian missiles and drones struck the city of Kyiv, killing one person. Furthermore, an attack on the Industrial District of Kharkiv left more than a dozen people wounded. These strikes are part of a wider pattern of attacks on Ukrainian cities, now in their fourth year of conflict.
These events underscore the ongoing severity of the war, with attacks on civilian areas representing a dangerous escalation. According to local officials, the injured are receiving necessary medical aid, but the situation remains tense and continues to cause significant alarm among the population.
