Kirovohrad Region Targeted in Attack

According to TSN.ua: On February 26, Russian forces launched an assault on the Kirovohrad region, specifically targeting the Novоarkhanhelsk community. The attack, which involved drones and cruise missiles, resulted in one civilian injury. The roofs of five private homes were also damaged in the strike. This region, located in central Ukraine, has faced repeated attacks on its infrastructure since the full-scale invasion began.

Andrii Raikovych, the head of the regional military administration, stated that

"a person was injured as a result of an enemy drone attack. All necessary medical assistance was promptly provided at a medical facility."
The situation at the site is now under control, and local residents are receiving support from authorities.

Ongoing Russian Military Campaign

This incident is part of Russia's ongoing military campaign against Ukraine, which began with a full-scale invasion in 2022. Attacks on civilian infrastructure, such as residential buildings, underscore the conflict's severity and its devastating impact on non-combatants. These strikes are a regular feature of a war that has displaced millions and caused widespread destruction across the country.

Local authorities continue to work on providing security and aid to those affected by the hostilities.
