Russia has intensified assaults in the Kupiansk direction: how the situation has changed.
Intensification of assault actions in the Kupiansk direction
According to inkorr.com: Russian troops have significantly intensified offensive actions in the Kupiansk direction, conducting attacks on Ukrainian positions with infantry and involving drones operating on fiber optics.
Officer Valery Kiselev, a representative of the 116th separate mechanized brigade, noted that the situation in this area has significantly escalated, as militants carry out daily assault operations.
'The enemy is pressing relentlessly,' Kiselev described the situation.
At the same time, traditional tank attacks have given way to the actions of infantry assault groups, which quickly maneuver on motorbikes and ATVs for better concealment.
Particularly threatening are enemy drones on fiber optics, the number of which is constantly increasing. This seriously complicates the supply of ammunition and equipment to Ukrainian troops.
Challenges for Ukrainian defenders
Geographical conditions in the region significantly complicate defensive actions. The main road through the city of Kupiansk limits supplies and troop movement due to the small number of bridges.
'Bottleneck' - the Kupiansk-Chuhuyiv road - has become a place of active actions of enemy drones that control this direction.
Seasonal changes complicate troop concealment, but at the same time contribute to the detection and destruction of enemy vehicles.
Against the backdrop of intensified assault actions in the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian troops are facing significant pressure from enemy attacks, the use of drones, and the challenging geographical conditions of the region.
The situation in Kupiansk remains tense. Increased activity of Russian troops indicates their intention to continue the offensive, which requires Ukrainian defenders to adapt to new combat conditions. This will also affect the overall defense strategy in the region, which may have implications for the further development of events at the front.
