Russians armed Shaheds with MANPADS: a new threat to Ukrainian aviation.
According to ТСН: Russian occupiers have begun installing portable anti-aircraft missile systems (MANPADS) on Shahed drones. This innovation could change the rules of the game in the air.
Radio technology specialist Sergei Beskrestnov, known by the call sign 'Flash', shared this information.
In his opinion, this indicates that the enemy continues to seek new ways to destroy Ukrainian aviation.
'Today we faced a 'Shahed' for the first time, equipped with a MANPADS. The 'Shahed' is equipped with a camera and a radio modem. The missile launch is conducted by the 'Shahed' pilot, who controls it from the territory of the Russian Federation,' Flash wrote on Telegram.
Beskrestnov also advised army aviation pilots to avoid a head-on course with the 'Shahed' and to be especially cautious regarding the drones which are in the air.
'Flash' shared a video showing the 'Shahed' with the installed MANPADS.
Previously, he also reported that the Russians began equipping 'Shaheds' with infrared searchlights.
This information indicates that the enemy does not stop improving their tactical techniques, which may lead to new challenges for Ukrainian aviation. The situation remains tense, and it is necessary to monitor further changes in the air environment.
