Russians placed air defense on the Crimean bridge.
The Russian army has installed the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile system on the Crimean bridge to protect against possible strikes from Ukraine. This information was reported in the media.
According to the report, the air defense system has been on the bridge for at least a month.
The tasks of the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile system are to defend military and military-industrial facilities. The cost of this system is about 15 million dollars.
As it is known, the Crimean bridge is maximally protected by the Russian army, although there are practically no maritime components for its defense. This was stated by the representative of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk, on the air of the telethon.
Earlier it was reported that the Defense Forces of Ukraine developed a plan to return Crimea under the control of Ukraine and destroy the Crimean bridge. Pletenchuk noted that Crimea is strategically important for Russia in terms of military logistics and supply, as the Russians use the peninsula as a military base.
In addition, the occupiers are building new structures near the Kerch bridge, which connects the occupied Crimea with Russia, to partially duplicate the Crimean bridge.
