Russians Pull Air Defense Systems to Crimean Bridge: What Are the Occupiers Preparing For.
Russia continues to strengthen its defensive positions on the Crimean Bridge, pulling a large number of air defense systems to this strategic object. This was stated by Andrii Ryzhenko, former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ukrainian Navy, in an interview with FREEDOM.
According to him, this indicates the Russian side's fears of possible attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces with Ukrainian missiles.
Ryzhenko emphasized that against the backdrop of the strengthening of Crimea's defenses, Moscow is preparing for active actions, as recent attacks on their military targets have caused serious concern.
“Currently, the total amount of cargo transported through the bridge to Crimea is estimated at 25%. The rest is transported through the Azov Isthmus, where a railway is being built, and so on,” Ryzhenko said.
Additionally, it is noted that Russia uses not only active defense methods, such as air defense systems, but also passive ones, including smoke generators and underwater barriers for protection against maritime drones. The situation on the Crimean Peninsula remains tense, particularly after a series of attacks by Ukrainian forces, which have caused significant damage to Russian military infrastructure.
It should be noted that after successful attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on railway ferries that supplied the Russian forces in Crimea, the occupiers are forced to seek new logistics methods. Russians are considering using sea barges to transport fuel.
Moreover, earlier the publication “Crimean Wind” already reported that in order to protect against Ukrainian strikes, the Russian army has placed a “Pantsir-S1” air defense missile system on the Crimean Bridge.

Maritime Logistics for Crimea
After successful attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on railway ferries that supplied the Russian forces in Crimea, Russia is forced to seek new logistics methods. There is a consideration to use sea barges to transport fuel. However, the construction of a “mysterious structure” to cover the Kerch Bridge may be delayed due to bad weather.
