Russian Strike Hits Hospital in Kharkiv Region: Medical Facility and Ambulances Damaged.
Aftermath of the Attack on Kharkiv Region
According to Novyny.live: On June 13, Russian forces launched guided aerial bombs at the settlement of Shevchenkove in the Kharkiv region. The attack damaged a medical complex and emergency ambulance vehicles. Over the past 24 hours, 17 towns and villages across the region came under Russian fire, leaving one person dead and three others wounded.
In the village of Petropavlivka, a 70-year-old man was killed. In the settlement of Pechenihy, a 63-year-old man sustained injuries. In Shevchenkove, a 76-year-old local resident was wounded. Additionally, in the village of Kovali, an 84-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction. According to local authorities, Russian troops deployed the following weapons over the past day:
- four guided aerial bombs,
- four 'Molniya' drones,
- seven FPV drones,
- and 15 other unmanned aerial vehicles.
Serhiy Starikov, a local administration official: 'Russian forces have recently intensified strikes on the community and are employing more powerful weaponry.'
He also reported that 'at dawn today, Russian forces used guided aerial bombs to severely damage the hospital complex.'
Meanwhile, State Emergency Service pyrotechnicians retrieved and neutralized 44 explosive items. It is worth noting that on June 10, the Russian army already struck a multi-story residential building in Kharkiv, highlighting the ongoing escalation of the conflict in the area.
The situation in the Kharkiv region remains tense as the frequency of Russian shelling increases. Attacks on civilian infrastructure, particularly medical facilities, underscore a disregard for international norms protecting non-combatants during armed conflict. Local authorities and emergency services continue to address the aftermath of the strikes and work to enhance safety for residents.
