Russians launched a railway from Rostov to Mariupol.

The occupiers opened the completed railway from Rostov-on-Don to Mariupol through Granitne/Malovodne. This was reported by Mariupol mayor's advisor Petro Andryushchenko.
According to him, after monitoring and recording movements, the following was found:
- at Aslanovo station (47.245315, 37.581568) several locomotives were found with wagons attached to them. The wagons are filled and partially cluttered. There is no information about the route and the contents of the wagons;
- one locomotive stands at Kalchyk station (47.305365, 37.602943);
- at Sartana station (47.153141, 37.574465) seven passenger wagons with the inscription "Yekaterinburg" were found.
According to Andryushchenko, some details that he cannot disclose for the safety of sources and insiders indicate a single fact: "Quietly and secretly, without announcements and red ribbons, the railway was launched. This may significantly change the situation at the front due to the improvement of Russian logistics."
The restoration of the railway took the Russians 13 months. In winter, the construction was slowed down for two months due to the strikes of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The blocking of the Kalchyk quarry by the Mariupol Resistance also caused a delay of another month.
Recall that Russia began building the track in September 2023 in the Donetsk region, which stretches over 60 kilometers between the villages of Novoselivka - Granitne - Burne. The Russian troops are actively laying rails and concrete tetrahedrons near the railway route.
