Six Wounded in Russian Strikes on Druzhkivka and Komyshany.
Artillery and Air Attacks on June 1, 2023
According to UATV: On June 1, 2023, Russian forces launched an artillery strike on Komyshany in the Kherson region and an aerial attack on Druzhkivka in Donetsk Oblast, leaving multiple people injured. In Komyshany, an elderly man sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to the head.
The airstrike on Druzhkivka wounded five individuals ranging in age from 20 to 68. Their injuries include mine-blast trauma, shrapnel wounds, contusions, and concussions. Russian troops dropped three FAB-250 guided bombs on Druzhkivka, also damaging five multi-story residential buildings.
Strikes on Civilian Infrastructure
That same day, Russian military forces targeted civilian objects across four regions of Ukraine: Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Sumy, and Kharkiv. These attacks highlight the ongoing pattern of strikes on civilian infrastructure, resulting in casualties and destruction.
The incidents underscore the scale and variety of threats facing Ukrainian civilians amid the prolonged conflict. The use of advanced military technology, such as guided aerial bombs, against residential areas raises serious concerns about public safety and humanitarian consequences. Continued actions of this nature could have severe implications for recovery and stability in the region.
