According to UATV: On May 29, 2023, Russian forces launched a series of assaults on the Dnipropetrovsk region, carrying out approximately 30 strikes. The attacks left six people injured, including a 55-year-old man hospitalized in critical condition. The other five victims, all women, received outpatient treatment. This ongoing bombardment highlights the relentless threat to civilians in eastern Ukraine.
Towns Under Fire
The strikes targeted communities in the Nikopol area, including:
- Nikopol
- Pokrovska
- Krasnohryhorivska
- Marhanets
- Myrovska hromada
Damage was reported to six apartment buildings, a gymnasium, and local infrastructure. Additionally, a city bus and a passenger car were hit in Kryvyi Rih.
“Six multi-story buildings, a gymnasium, infrastructure, a city bus, and a car were damaged. Six people were injured,” said Oleksandr Hanzha.
The situation in the region remains tense, with each new strike underscoring the danger faced by civilians. Attacks on civilian infrastructure have sparked serious concern among local residents and authorities alike.
These events highlight the continued aggression of Russian troops on Ukrainian soil and the war’s devastating impact on non-combatants.
