Over 40 Strikes Hit Dnipropetrovsk Region, Leaving Civilians Injured.
Attacks on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast: June 1, 2023
According to UATV: On June 1, 2023, Russian forces launched more than 40 attacks across the Dnipropetrovsk region, injuring two civilians. These strikes were recorded in four districts of the oblast, causing significant damage and casualties among the local population. This escalation is part of ongoing hostilities that have repeatedly targeted civilian areas in eastern and southern Ukraine.
Consequences of the Shelling
In the Nikopol district, the following were damaged:
- a school
- a kindergarten
- an apartment building
- private homes and vehicles
In the Kryvyi Rih district, shelling destroyed a private house, injuring an 85-year-old woman who was hospitalized in moderate condition. In the Synelnykove district, a 59-year-old man was also injured and hospitalized in moderate condition. Additionally, in the Samar district, an agricultural enterprise sustained damage.
Russian military strikes also hit civilian targets in the Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions. These incidents were reported by Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration. The security situation in the area remains tense due to relentless bombardment.
These attacks highlight the continuation of Russian aggression, leading to further civilian casualties and severe infrastructure destruction. The persistent targeting of non-military sites underscores the dire humanitarian conditions in conflict-affected regions and raises serious concerns for public safety. Authorities continue to document the aftermath and provide support to affected residents.
