New Attack Direction in Donetsk: Russian Military Shifts Its Strategy.
Developments Near Kostiantynivka
According to UATV: The Russian army has stepped up its offensive operations near Kostiantynivka, aiming to seize critical areas in the Donetsk region. As of today, Ukrainian forces still hold 22% of Donetsk’s territory. According to analysts, the occupiers’ main strategic objective is to break through Ukraine’s defensive lines and bring these areas under their control.
Over the past month, Russian troops have advanced at most around 43 square kilometers—yet in that same period, Ukrainian forces have liberated roughly 430 square kilometers. This highlights major gains by Ukraine in pushing back the aggression. Dmytro Snegirev points out that Ukraine’s military effectively derailed the Kremlin’s plans for a territorial swap, which have now collapsed.
Regaining Ground and Holding the Line
Meanwhile, Russian forces are trying to reclaim lost positions on the Zaporizhzhia front. But despite the intensification of attacks, Ukrainian troops continue to defend their positions effectively, demonstrating strong coordination and resolve in the fight for the country’s territorial integrity.
The front-line situation remains tense, with active combat underway on multiple axes. Ukraine’s success in recapturing territory shows its ability to withstand Russian aggression. As occupiers keep up relentless assaults, maintaining the resilience and morale of Ukrainian forces is crucial—since the future of the nation’s territorial integrity hinges on their capacity to defend and counterattack.
