Russian Attack Halts All Thermal Power Plants of Centrenergo: Consequences for the Energy System.
According to inkorr.com: The Russian attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure led to the complete shutdown of all thermal power plants of PJSC 'Centrenergo'. This occurred as a result of a massive strike with rockets and drones targeting the stations simultaneously. Civilians in Ukraine were affected due to the destruction of the targeted facilities.
“We have stopped... Currently - zero generation. Zero! We have lost what we were restoring around the clock. Completely!”, they noted in the press service of 'Centrenergo'.
Impact on the Energy Situation
'Centrenergo' includes the Trypillia, Zmiiv, and temporarily occupied Vuhlehirska thermal power plants. This has caused a serious deterioration of the energy situation in Ukraine, especially in Kyiv, where there have been difficulties in electric transport due to emergency outages.
According to information from local authorities, power outages in the capital were implemented by the national operator NEC 'Ukrenergo' due to the damage caused by Russian aggression, which led to a crisis situation in the country's energy system.
This situation highlights the vulnerability of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which requires urgent measures to restore stability. The shortage of electricity may lead to further difficulties for Ukrainians, especially with the onset of cold weather. The country's authorities are urging citizens to adhere to electricity consumption norms and be prepared for possible emergencies.
