Civilian Infrastructure Targeted in Ukraine
According to UATV: Russian military strikes on the Kharkiv, Sumy, Kherson, and Khmelnytskyi regions have resulted in civilian deaths and injuries, with residential buildings and social infrastructure sustaining damage. These assaults have caused significant alarm among local residents and authorities, continuing a pattern of attacks on non-military targets.
Regional Impact and Casualties
In Kharkiv, a 20-year-old woman was killed and three others were wounded. The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, confirmed the attack and described the overall situation as difficult.
Shelling in Sumy wounded three people, including a 7-year-old child. Serhii Kravchenko, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, reported the hospitalization of the young boy and a 76-year-old woman. Two other women, aged 66 and 77, received medical treatment but refused hospitalization.

"Russian forces are targeting social infrastructure and residential areas, endangering the lives of peaceful civilians,"
— Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration
The strikes in Sumy damaged 15 residential buildings, further compounding the region's challenges.
These events underscore the severe human cost of the ongoing conflict and the urgent need for measures to protect the civilian population. The war in Ukraine, now in its third year, continues to see daily attacks that devastate communities far from the front lines.
The situation across Ukraine remains tense, with new attacks on civilian objects signaling a continuation of the armed conflict. Authorities are calling for increased international support to safeguard civilians and restore normal life in affected regions, highlighting the critical importance of humanitarian aid and rapid response to population needs.
