According to UATV: On March 31, 2023, Russian forces launched aerial attacks on the city of Sloviansk, leaving nine people injured. Among the wounded are a 12-year-old girl and a female depot worker. The strikes involved FAB-250 aerial bombs, which were dropped on a residential area and the city's railway station.
The explosions occurred around midday, when Russian aircraft released four more bombs, causing extensive damage. The blast wave damaged 22 private homes and three vehicles. Local residents reported intense noise during the attacks.
“There were three strikes during the night—it was extremely loud,” said Nina, a local resident.
Another resident, Iryna, added: “I still can't calm down; I came here right away.”
This incident harmed not only adults but also children, highlighting the severity of the situation in the region. The tense atmosphere persists, as attacks on civilian areas keep people in a state of fear and uncertainty.
Humanitarian Crisis in the Region
The attacks on Sloviansk underscore the ongoing violence in the area, which has now lasted for over a year. Such incidents highlight the humanitarian crisis faced by civilians and raise serious concerns about the safety of non-combatants.
