Strikes Hit Kharkiv

According to Novyny.live: On June 4, 2023, Russian drones targeted Kharkiv, striking multiple districts across the city. Impacts were recorded in the Nemyshlyanskyi, Slobidskyi, and Saltivskyi areas. One drone crashed into a multi-story residential building, sparking a fire at the impact site. However, preliminary reports indicate no casualties. The drone’s warhead that hit the building failed to detonate, potentially preventing far greater destruction.

In the Saltivskyi district, drone debris fell around 09:52, further confirming the intensity of the assault on the city. It is worth noting that on the night of June 2 and the morning of June 4, Russian forces had already launched a combined attack on Kharkiv. Strikes were recorded in four districts, leaving more than 10 people injured, including a child.

Additionally, during the night of June 4, a ballistic missile struck the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv. Deputy Mayor Ihor Terekhov stated:

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, added:

A fire also broke out there. — Oleh Syniehubov

These events underscore the ongoing aggression by Russian forces and their continued efforts to harm civilians.

The attacks on Kharkiv are part of a broader campaign by Russian forces that has persisted for several months. The use of drones and ballistic missiles signals an escalation in the conflict and growing threats to civilian life. Reports of no casualties from the latest strikes may reflect safety measures taken, but the situation remains tense and demands constant vigilance from local authorities and international observers.
