Civilian Casualties Reported in Ukrainian Regions Following Russian Drone Strikes.
Drone Attacks Target Ukrainian Civilians
According to UATV: Russian forces launched 136 drone strikes across Ukraine, beginning on the evening of March 2nd and continuing into March 3rd. These attacks resulted in civilian casualties in the Poltava and Kharkiv regions. In Poltava Oblast, five people sustained injuries of moderate severity from falling drone debris. The ongoing conflict has seen drone warfare become a persistent threat to non-combatants, with strikes frequently hitting residential areas.
Residential Building Struck in Kharkiv Region
Separately, in the town of Chuhuiv within Kharkiv Oblast, a Russian drone struck a private home. This incident also left five people wounded, including a seven-year-old child. Regional officials provided further details on the damage.
"The evidence points to multiple drone attacks in the region," stated Vitaliy Diakivnych.
According to Oleh Syniehubov, "the Russian drone damaged a private house and several outbuildings."
These events underscore the continuing danger that drone assaults pose to Ukraine's civilian population. The routine use of unmanned aerial vehicles in the conflict raises serious concerns for civilian safety. The increasing frequency of such attacks signals an escalation in hostilities and highlights the urgent need for enhanced protective measures for vulnerable communities.
