Russian soldiers in Kup'yansk: how they use civilians for cover.
According to inkorr.com: Russian troops are relentlessly trying to infiltrate Kup'yansk in the Kharkiv region, using civilians as cover. Soldiers express concern for the safety of civilians and urge them to evacuate. Deputy Commander of the 429th Separate Drone Systems Regiment 'Achilles' Oles Malaryevich noted that dozens of Russian soldiers enter the city daily, trying to disguise themselves as civilians by changing into ordinary clothes.
“Even our pilots have to consider: is this a civilian moving between houses or some Russian. It is very difficult,” Malaryevich explained.
The use of such tactics complicates the work of the Ukrainian military and creates risks for the civilian population. Therefore, the military strongly recommends that residents of Kup'yansk leave the city, which has become dangerous.
Situation in Kup'yansk
A special operation to clean the area from saboteurs is ongoing in Kup'yansk, and access for civilians is prohibited. About 680 people remain, finding it hard to leave as evacuation is only possible on foot. The head of the local administration has urged residents to urgently leave the city due to the extremely dangerous situation.
The threat in Kup'yansk remains significant as Russian forces continue attempts to seize the city, disguising themselves among civilians. The Ukrainian military and local authorities emphasize the need for evacuation to preserve life and safety. Operations to clean the area of enemy forces are complicated by the risk of harming civilians.
The situation in Kup'yansk is a troubling reminder of the dynamics of the conflict in the east of the country. In such a difficult time, it is important for citizens to receive timely information and to have the opportunity to leave the dangerous zone. This issue will remain relevant until the threat decreases.
