Russian spy served in the ranks of the Volyn TCC.
In Volyn, the SBU officers exposed a Russian agent who worked in security units and prepared new air strikes on the region. According to the department, this serviceman was recruited by a staff member of Russian military intelligence. The suspect attempted to pass information to the aggressor about the location of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the SBU, and the National Police.
To carry out his tasks, the agent traveled around the area in a service vehicle and recorded the location of military objects. He also tried to detect radar stations and anti-aircraft missile systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for conducting enemy shelling.
The information obtained was passed by the agent to his Russian handler through an anonymous chat in a messenger. The SBU detained the Russian agent and conducted searches, during which evidence of cooperation with Russia was seized from his mobile phone.
According to the investigation, the individual became an agent of the occupiers due to his connections with relatives in Russia, with whom he maintained contact and shared anti-Ukrainian views. SBU officers informed the agent of suspicion of high treason, committed under martial law.
Currently, the Russian agent is in prison. He faces life imprisonment and confiscation of property. Previously, another occupant who deported 15 Ukrainian children was exposed and charged. Under the command of this individual, 20 armed occupiers seized the premises of the Novopetrivska special school and kidnapped 15 pupils.
