Journalist of the Russian propaganda publication "Sport-Express" unfurled the flag of Russia on the Eiffel Tower on the day of the closing of the Olympic Games in Paris.
According to Russian journalists, this was done to remind the Olympic capital that Russians in world sports exist and cannot be canceled.
During the Olympics, there was a complete ban on the use of Russian symbols. Although the IOC allowed 15 neutral athletes with a Russian passport to compete, who won one award - silver in the doubles tennis tournament.
This year's Summer Olympics were held in Paris and other cities in France, as well as in Tahiti. For the first time, break-dancing was included as an Olympic discipline. The conduct of these games was overseen by IOC President Thomas Bach.
It should be noted that the gold medals at this year's Games in Paris are extremely expensive - about $900, due to the cost of the raw materials from which they are made.
