The Accessible Medicines Program is Expanding: 85 New Drugs Added to the List.
According to inkorr.com: The Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko announced the expansion of the 'Accessible Medicines' program, which will now include 85 new pharmaceutical products. The initiative starts on September 30 and will allow patients to receive medications for free or with partial payment.
New Pharmaceuticals
Among the new medicines will be drugs for pregnant women, treatments for thyroid diseases and glaucoma, pediatric medications, as well as drugs for the heart, lungs, metabolic disorders, and mental and neurological conditions.
'The list of 'Accessible Medicines' has been expanded. This means that even more patients will be able to receive the necessary medications,' Lyashko emphasized.
Availability of Medicines
Currently, the 'Accessible Medicines' program already includes over 700 medicine names. Starting from 2025, all pharmacies in Ukraine will be required to provide medications that are included in the state program. A complete list of pharmaceuticals is available on the official website of the Ministry of Health.
Implementation of 2D Coding
In addition, verification of medicines using 2D coding will begin in Ukraine.
The addition of 85 new drugs to the 'Accessible Medicines' program will enable more patients to receive necessary treatment without additional costs. This expansion will help improve the accessibility of medical services and strengthen the health of the population in Ukraine.
